Theatresports® Blue Mountains was established in 2010 by Katoomba actor and director Bryan Cutts, and our home is Jack Thompson’s Hotel Gearin, where monthly shows are staged. These shows are terrific night out; great entertainment with guaranteed laughs, drama and the occasional unbridled silly-ness (well, a lot of that really).
For those who want to do more than watch, there are regular workshops and classes available to everyone who wants take part in the fun that is Theatresports®. Our classes, workshops and Jams are available to you whatever your skill or experience.
If Theatresports® and improvisation are relatively new to you, the Intro2Impro classes are a good starting point. For those who participate in our Level 1 & Level 2 classes, the opportunity is there for you to perform at the Gearin, and other events as they come up.
Everyone who has participated in our classes, or performed in our shows, is welcome to join in at one of our Jam-sessions to brush up on their skills and games – and just maybe a little bit of catch-up with other Theatresports® junkies. To find out about the next Jam, drop us a line…
For people who are still at school, there are school holiday workshops available as well.
The licence to produce Theatresports® shows in the region was issued to Bryan by the holders of the Australian rights, Impro Australia.
