Bryan’s original training was in classical ballet, through which he discovered the thrill of being on stage and the embarrassment of losing a ballet shoe during his first public performance, at the age of 5.
Since then, Bryan’s training has included the exploration of slapstick, mime and other physical performance skills, as well as acting, directing for theatre, comedy, television presenting, theatre of cruelty and of course, Theatresports®.
Bryan’s Theatresports® career began in the late 1980s when he first studied under the guidance of Australia’s TS guru, Lyn Pierse, when Theatresports® was still a new phenomenon in Australia. Bryan played on the Belvoir Street Theatre stage in Sydney, and has also appeared in Impro Australia’s ‘Scared Scriptless‘ show.
